Dear SAS Members
With memories of a great Fondue night still lingering on I have the pleasure to announce a variety of exciting upcoming events. But first let me look back and thank you all for coming to the Fondue party and contributing to the Tombola – not only did we have a lot of fun with the lucky draw, we did it for a worthy cause and raised $ 307 to donate to the Red Cross for Tsunami relief! Young and old enjoyed this typical Swiss form of entertainment, and several of you asked to do it again next year.
What is ASO?
Do you know what the Ausland-Schweizer Organisation / organization of the Swiss abroad is? Who represents you? How you can benefit and be part of it? Our member Hermann Gammeter has been this region’s representative for the past 8 years, and he will give you first hand information about ASO at a short presentation at this year’s General Assembly (see invitation). This is one more reason to join us on March 12, besides learning about your Club’s past and planned activities, electing your new Board and finally enjoying the company of your friends at a nice Apero and delicious dinner. So please make sure you send in your registration – the Board is looking forward to seeing you!

Please update your email address!
Time and again we as a Board would like to share with you information on a short notice, send you reminders to our events, or even best wishes at your birthday, and our messages are returned because we do not have your actual email address (if we have one at all). So please take a moment and send us an update in order to allow us to use this great technology where applicable – thanks!
Sad news
Louise Lauk has been a member of the Club for many years until the 1990’s. Louise lost her long battle with cancer and passed away on January 30. She will always be remembered by those who knew her as a good friend. Our thoughts are with her husband Frank and her family.
New member
